diy cake stands

so i had this epiphany while walking through the dollar store today. i was looking at all the cute plates with paterns in them and thinking 'wow, they are only $1. there's got to be something cool i could do with them'. i love cake stands and am always eager to find cute ones. so i decided that if you combined a candle holder at the base of these plates with epoxy, then you could have some pretty sweet custom cake plates.

lil H's favorite food group is FRUIT! he devours bananas, nectarines, peaches and pears. he makes the BIGGEST mess and i get a kick out of his enjoyment.
